There is ample parking opposite the house at a charge of £1 per hour between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm. There is also all-day parking, available at £7 for 24 hours, to which we direct our guests once they are settled.

Jim is very happy to chat to guests on the subject of Edinburgh and Scottish history in general. This is very helpful when you are planning your day in the City.

The Sitting Room of the suite

The Old Town and New Town were designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. The Old Town includes the Castle, the Royal Palace of Holyrood House, St. Giles Cathedral and the old and new Scottish Parliaments. The New Town was constructed to a single architectural plan between 1750 and 1820.

11 Moray Place, facing south-west, overlooks not only the private gardens to the front of the house but also enjoys a magnificent view over the Firth of Forth from the bedrooms at the back. A key giving access to the gardens and to Lord Moray's Pleasure Garden (17 acres of garden overlooking the Water of Leith) is available for the use of our guests.
